Plan Your Vote – 2026 Primary
The Republican Primary Election is on May 19, 2026. Make sure your vote counts! Here's how to prepare:
- Check your voter registration: You must be a registered Republican to vote in the primary. The deadline to register for the primary is May 4, 2026 (15 days before Election Day). Check your registration status or register to vote online.
- Consider voting by mail: Pennsylvania allows no-excuse mail-in voting. If you'd prefer to vote from home, apply for a mail-in ballot by May 12, 2026 (application must be received by that date). You can request a mail-in or absentee ballot here. Completed ballots must be returned to your county election office by 8:00 PM on Election Day (May 19).
- Know your polling place: If voting in person, find your polling location and note its hours. Polls will be open on May 19, 2026 from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. As long as you are in line by 8:00 PM, you will be allowed to vote. Find your polling place by entering your address.
- Bring proper ID (if needed): In PA, you do not need ID if you have voted at your polling place before. First-time voters (or first time at a new polling place) should bring an acceptable form of ID (driver's license, passport, voter card, etc.). Learn more about voter ID requirements.
- Make a plan: Mark your calendar for May 19th. Decide whether you will vote in the morning, on your lunch break, or in the evening. If you applied for a mail ballot, complete and return it as soon as possible (don't forget the secrecy envelope!). If voting in person, consider calling a friend or neighbor to go with you.
Every vote will matter in this primary. By planning ahead, you ensure that your voice is heard for the future of PA-14. Thank you for participating in our democracy!
